10 Timeless Wedding Trends

10 Wedding trends we believe won't ever go out of style.

You’ll look back through your wedding photo album and/or wedding video for years to come – therefore, loving your wedding colour scheme or theme is a must. Wedding trends and themes come and go and we’ve seen a fair few share of wedding trends across our collection of country house wedding venues in the past, but below, we’re sharing a list of 10 wedding trends that we don’t think will ever go out of fashion.

Top Tip

A confetti line will never date and your guests will love to get involved with showering you both with confetti. Speak to your wedding venue for guidance when it comes to the location of your confetti line.

A Pop of Colour

We are seeing more and more couples forgoing the classic white decor and instead embracing bright colours and a bold aesthetic.

However, adding these pops of colour throughout your wedding can help infuse style and personality into your big day. From bridesmaid dresses to bouquets, cakes and invitations – all you have to do is choose the perfect colour. Searching for a colour theme that won’t ever go out of style? We love gold, rose gold and silver.

Go seasonal

Eco-friendly weddings are on the rise, with sustainability being more than just a fashion trend and now, the wedding industry taking notice of this. We have joined this trend by switching plastic straws to paper across all of our country house wedding venues. On the search for eco-friendly wedding favours? Why not offer your guests mini plants or flowers that can be replanted at home? Hiring decorations for your wedding venue can reduce wastage and confetti that is light in colour, and of course bio-degradable, is the way to go.

Comfort Factor

Not a trend as such, more a style of wedding A common focus for wedding planning couples is ensuring their guests are comfortable. By increasing guests comfort level and experience, this encourages your guests to feel as connected to the venue as you are. The friends and family you invite are the ones who will make it memorable for you, so as long as they are enjoying themselves, you are guaranteed to have an incredible day.

Garden Style

Why not follow in the footsteps on Prince William and Kate Middleton and bring the outdoors, in? Nature wedding themes are growing in popularity and the best way to achieve the desired organic ambiance is to decorate a woodland style wedding venue with a colour palette of ivories, browns, and greens, while tastefully incorporating earthly objects such as leaves, pinecones, and branches.

Personalise Your Day

Adding small, personalised touches to your wedding day, such as putting both of your initials on wedding décor, post boxes, cake toppers, wedding favours or welcome signs, is a must. Writing your wedding place cards, menus or table plan by hand will ensure your guests feel more of a personal touch to your day.

Minimalist Styling

Why not opt for a minimalist style celebration and let the wedding venue speak for itself? By keeping your wedding ceremony decorations to a minimum, this points the attention to where it should be, on you and your partner. Going for a minimalistic wedding, promotes a clean and contemporary look that many couples aspire to create.

Bespoke Wedding Menus

Have you ever considered creating an entirely bespoke menu for your wedding day? Thinking outside of the box, and designing your own menu, allows your guests to associate such food with yourselves. Let the dish be a representation of you and your partner, which your guests will recognise. If your chosen wedding venue offers an incredible menu already, consider choosing signature cocktails to serve at your wedding reception for added fun or be original when it comes to choosing the food served on your evening buffet.

Geometric Styling

Although a current trend, geometric shapes and strong colours can add an art-deco theme to your wedding day. Statement wedding stationary, table decorations and wedding day timetables, are just some of the ways you can incorporate this theme – the opportunities are endless. Art-deco is not for the faint hearted, if you are a Bride looking to create a statement, this is for you.

Bridal Style

A white wedding dress will never date – and we don’t think wearing a veil will either. White wedding dresses are so traditional and there’s so much choice out there, that you’ll more than likely fall in love with more than one wedding dress during your search. Whether long or short, veils look sensational on every bride. When it comes to your wedding hair, low, chignon style buns will always look elegant and are definitely a style to consider.

So, get your Pinterest boards at the ready, and prepare to incorporate some of these timeless wedding trends into your up and coming wedding.
